Killer Klown Review
Director Charles E Cullen’s Killer Klowns from Kansas on Krack treads the fine line between genius and insanity and is such an affront to cinematic convention that most people won’t make it through the first fifteen minutes. Shot on video and obviously edited in camera, the film defies any genre definition or classification — the closest thing I’ve seen to it is Crispin Glover’s What Is It? but even that film is more coherent. The soundtrack, which is repeated ad infinitum, consists of two bizarre folk/country songs that appear to have been playing on a CD during the filming, because they skip when the camera POV changes and they are often louder than the spoken dialogue. It is practically unwatchable and I loved every second of it.
